June 11th meeting will be OFF SITE - at First Tee of the Lowcountry with Pat Zuk. Meeting will be the same time - 8:00. First Tee is located on Gum Tree Road at the Boys and Girls Club.

Josh updated us on what is happening at the Town including topics such as:
Town Budget; short term rentals; town projects, capital improvements; land acquisition; the bridge.
He also addressed the proposed community center which is being suggested as a joint Rotary project involving the three Rotary clubs on the island. It is being proposed to be built on a mid island piece of land, 100 acres next to Port Royal. Five of the acres will be for a church. The Rotary Clubs would raise $750,000 for the project. The Center would be used for free by the Rotary Clubs, other non-profits can rent and other organizations can rent as well. Estimates for completion of the bridge project is 10 years and the Community Center is four years.
