With everyone missing our fellow Rotarians and Tuesday meetings, be aware of what is going on in the club as well as District 7770.  President Lynn addressed  much information in her last communique so please refer to that in its entirety, but here are a few highlights as well as some additional items. Stay in touch via internet, zoom and other virtual opportunities.  Hopefully it will not be too long before we all can get together again.

Club Notes:

Preparations are under way for the 2020-21 Rotary year.  Several members of the leadership team have been attending online trainings via DACdb and Zoom.  Founders Night is still scheduled for June 20th, however with the uncertainty of the current situation, the Board will continue to monitor and make recommendations accordingly.  Please consider how you are being called to be involved in the club next year and be ready to let President Lynn know what your preferences are for committee involvement when she addresses it in her next communication.

District Notes

District 7770 Awards Ceremony:  The All Club Conference had to be cancelled back in March.  There are many  clubs and individuals that would have been recognized at that event in celebration of the 2019 - 2020 year.  To compensate for that, Tuesday May 12, 7 to 9 PM there will be a virtual District 7770 Awards Ceremony.  All are invited to attend.  For the link, go to the district database,  sign in and find the link on the home page.  It will be a wonderful celebration to see all those Rotary Clubs and leaders in the district being recognized for their accomplishments and good works of the last year.

C-Wrap (Conversations with Rotary Action People) - You should be getting notices of these meetings (via email from District PI Chair, Mary Gasque) and they are a good way to "meet" with other Rotarians and hear a speaker or topic.  Upcoming speakers are: Bill Shillito - CART Fund and Paul Harris (Richard Kyte - how fun is this?).

To keep up on what is happening in the district with online meeting opportunities, check the district calendar frequently.  To see the calendar, I think the easiest way is go to Rotary7770.org, click on members only, login (the club number is 21126), then click on District Calendar.
